cannot work out if I have had a lucky day or unlucky day:
Go to unit this morning, place in darkness, power outage and due to be out all day. all the other staff (car trade related) are given the day off, me, just pick up my stuff and go, no real work disruption. (lucky?/unlucky?)
just leave second job of the day, country road, bloody great oak (or some other sort of old big heavy tree) fells itself right across road in my path. Luckily on a straight road not a bend and luckily only 5 seconds before I would have been under it:
Had to back up a heap of cars behind mind before I could detour around it.
3rd job, smeg hinges fitted only 3 months ago- fekked, fitted free of charge.Stop at nearby shop for a much needed red bull, start van Bang! clutch pedal straight to floor. Hydraulics failure but only half a mile from my mothers house so start in gear and somehow get the van there. Renault assistance very helpful and AA man out within the hour but a further 3 hour wait for recovery when he obviously couldn’t fix it. at least it happened somewhere I could shelter inside in the warmth, could of been on the hard shoulder. (lucky?/unlucky?)
Day off tomorrow…. aside from renting a van, swapping stock, consoling customers and no doubt doing a few jobs to make up for the disaster. Great life!Re: cannot work out if I have had a lucky day or unlucky day

15 min job mark and a £5 part for the clutch piece..on the traffic and vivaro’s piece of plastic breaks on the return spring

I had summation similar, starter motor packed up during my most busiest week. Heavy wind and sleet. Thank goodness I was at the customer’s house keeping warm but you get the feeling of out staying your welcome. The tow truck ride was very unforgiving and cold, the taxi ride home from the garage was also unforgiving and dirty.
Who knew that a Vauxhall Vectra (taxi) can do 201k miles on the clock?
