You’re going struggle I’m afraid. CORGI/HSE decided in their wisdom to make the gas tumble dryers a seperate module for the CORGI registered guys and, due to costs of that and the low volumes of gas dryers out there, repairers are rare to say the least that will touch a gas dryer. Added to which most of the engineers that work or have worked on them seem to passionately despise the things.
Your best bet in all honesty is to kick the problem back to Hotpoint who own the Canon brand name but it will be a White Knight gas dryer in disguise no doubt.
Just don’t hold your breath waiting on getting someone there from what I hear. 🙁
