Hi,don’t try forcing it as it will snap off. This is normally caused by debris jammed between the pump and filter.Unplug machine and tip back 45degrees if you can get someone to hold it,if not rest back against the wall. From underneath the machine you can now access the pump behind the filter.Have plenty of towels handy and disconnect the hoses and remove filter housing/pump.You may have to remove the pump from the housing to clear any debris.
Once clear the filter should be easy to unscrew.

Hello folks tried to take of the pump but it just was not going to budge and I did not want to force it to much so I undid the hose clip at the side of pump and a load of stinky smelling water over my arm deep joy 😯 I got out a plastic top bit for vertical blind with some material attached to it so hopefully that was stopping the pump working to full ability.
Ps how would you remove the pump if it seems stuck ie wd40 or would it take brute force and not damage it. :?:Regard LeachyNovember 10, 2012 at 6:31 pm #384302spanishwhite

Hi leachy, the pump is fixed to the filter housing by either 3 screws or it is a twist lock fit.To remove the whole unit you need to undo the screw at the front of the filter. This will allow you to slide the plastic”kickplate” to the right and remove.Once removed you will see another screw which holds the pump/filter to the machine remove this screw, all the hoses and the cables to the pump and the whole unit can now be removed for cleaning.Just reverse sequence to replace.
Remember to unplug machine before doing anything.
