KeymasterUsually Fagor IIRC, or Brandt on the odd occasion. TBH, I’ve lost the plot with Caple, Eurolec and Kompact appliances as the damn things keep changing, it’s like a lottery on what you end up seeing these days. 😕

PABL are not buying dishwashers from Haier but we are starting to buy cooling from them.
The service request rates on the Haier models were way to high for us to keep buying from them.

Caple dishwashers are whirlpool models I think.

KeymasterRe: Capel dishwashers
My apologies Greaseater, I though PABL were buying in Haeir as well now, possibly confused with all the Bernstein shennanagins of late and the swap from Fagor to Brandt. It is a bit confusing though.
The failure rates on Haeir product is well documented and we all seem to, almost universally, despise the things. They take longer to repair and are, frankly, crap. Even accessing them is sometimes an art in itself. And, yet again, the service information is total rubbish, the diagrams abysmal and of vitually no use. Typical Far East though, great at building to a cost but extremely lacking with supporting the product in after sales.
There is a British Gas thread in here with more information on the failure rates and why BG dumped them.

We only took over Bernsteins outstanding orders and have not placed anymore orders for them.
We have also had issues with the Brandt machines (compressed door seals = leaks) but they now seem o.k.

LawrenceMarch 20, 2005 at 9:52 pm #128111kwatt
KeymasterThere is a mod, but alledgedly the French Secret Service are keeping it a closely guarded secret with no part numbers or anything available, including information but that’s hardly a shocker from Brandt. 😉

My understanding is that AIS carry stock of the seals.
The other thing about these dishwashers is that they must be level.
They are talking about modifying the machine by taking one of the plastic legs off and positioning the remaining leg to the centre, which will stop the door buckling.
I am unsure when this modification will be done.
