Caple DI 440

    Hi , My 5 yr old DI440 has started to bleep constantly at me with the start button flashing . Any idea what problem this has developed . Thanks.

    Whirlpool-built machine. Constant beeping/flashing of start lamp indicates F1 – NTC failure. This is the temperature sensor, and can be seen poking through the floor of the sump, under the filters. It’s a twist fit from underneath.

    A replacement can be found HERE.

    Power off if you intend to do this yourself.

    thanks for your info Penguin45, I have never taken a dishwasher apart . How does the bottom plate come off ? It seems to have star screw fixings ? thanks.

    Torx fittings – most DIY places sell a set of bits with a handle for around a fiver these days. A worthwhile investment as these fixings are becoming more and more popular.

    Ok……… had an engineer round , he found the bottom tray full of water which had activated the float safety switch . he said that the hose from the pump had split . Now on calling spares suppliers it seems that i cannot get a replacement hose . My pump is working ok….. but it seems silly that i might have to scrap the dishwasher over a £10 hose . Is it possible to get this hose from anywhere ?
