ParticipantHi chaps.
Ive got a Caple DI414 dishwasher that starts up & pumps as normal. The start light then starts flashing & there is no fill.
Im pretty sure it is made by Whirlpool but may be wrong. (The service number is 8545 414 15710)
Any help greatly appreciated as ever.

Just an update to my previous post.. The inlet valve is NOT opening again when I select a program after the initial pump out. Ive multimetered the inlet valve connection from the board & its sending out 120 volts, the start button is flashing 6 times.
I am able to get continuity from reed switch when I place a magnet near it..

Hi Dave.. Thanks for that.. Ive got full pressure water supply to the valve but the valve wont open at all. Have tested it for a supply & its getting 120(ish) volts.. Not the required 240 volts. Is there any other reason for this or do you think the main card is faulty?
Cheers .. Jon

120v from where to where. you should measure the voltage across the valve. a lot of these machine switch neutral so you will get live on both terminals when its off.
couple of thing you could check but first i would look for broken wires. a lot of these machines have a habit of breaking wires just at the bottom of the door where the wires bend due to the door hinge. be careful a lot of the wires are the same colour so take it apart with care in case you have 2 breaks and cant guess which is whichDave

Yep the 120v was across the valve when it was supposed to be open.. (Its supplied from a module at the bottom of machine). Then came the 6 flashes.. I will check the wiring at the door hinge as you say.. Have definitely seen faults in this area on other dishwashers… Thanks for your help with this machine Dave.. If this doesn’t crack it I think he may buy another one but will at least give it one more attempt.
Cheers
