Hello, I’m having a reoccurence of problems that I had a few months ago. Basically, when a program starts, the machine drains, then fills for around 100s, then stops with the start led flashing a sequence of 6 flashes. I believe this indicates a no fill and can be caused by the flow meter (reed switch) or pressure switch malfunctioning? To fix it previously, I cleaned all sensor contacts and the main PCB contacts, and the machine then worked for a couple of months. It stopped yesterday, and a repeat of cleaning all contacts has not worked this time. I have checked the reed switch and it registers a flow (or a series of pulses) during fill. I have also checked the pressure switch which shows close circuit when the machine is empty, and then switchs to open circuit early in the fill cycle (all these checked on the main pcb).

I have run out of ideas now! Could anyone help me with some suggestions?

    Cheers,

    Mark

Re: Caple DI414 – problems again

From the lack of responses I guess there is no obvious fix for this problem! In which case it looks like I’m going to have to buy a new machine – could anyone recommend quality brands at a reasonable price – I was thinking of Bosch or Siemens?

    Thanks,

    Mark
