    Hi there

From what I have found out, I have a caple / whirlpool Di414. Have checked the Whirlpool web site for user manual, but it does not cover error codes!

My machine will get most, if not all way through cycle, but then stops – continual bleeping all night long, with 4 flashes of the on/off button. Very annoying when you have an early night only to be woken up by continual bleeping!

I have searched the forums and found the answers to most other numbers of flashes, but not 4. Would be grateful is anyone could shed any light on this for me.

    thanks in advance

Re: Caple DI414 – will not complete cycle

F4 is a draining failure…so either it hasn’t drained, or it thinks it hasn’t drained.

First port of call is to check the pump…select any program and start, then hold the start button for about 5 secs to cancel the program, the pump should kick in for 1 minute.

If it hasn’t cleared the water then try the end of the drain hose if it connects to the sink waste fitting. After that it’s a strip-down job.

If it has successfully drained then next step is to check the water level detector…small black grid at about the 3 o’clock position in the sump under the filter. This can be cleaned with toothbrush/pipecleaner/hot water etc but note that there is a rubber membrane behind the grid which could be pierced by something sharp. If it’s particularly gunged it may need removing (access underneath).

Power off at all times :zap:
