Caple dishwasher fault code

Hi

Can anyone help me with a problem on the following dishwasher:

Caple

Type:12150
Mod. D1452
Nr 00600 05 04

I beleive it is a badged whirlpool.

Anyway the problem i have is that a fault code has come up but it is not mentioned in the book; Prewash light is on permanantly and the Intensive (5th button along) flashes.

It will not allow you to reset, even if you switch it off for a while at the mains.

I have checked the safety system float which was stuck but i dont think the microswitch was made, no evidence of any leaks in the base and intrestingly if you chuck a bowl full of water in and shut the door it will drain but do little else.

Would appreciate any advice, particullarly what this fault code indicates to at least give me a starting point.

It’s actually a Smeg 😀

On the main PCB LED display is it just number 5 that is lit (no others flashing etc) ?

Hi Dave

As mentioned in the details the prewash button ( 1st button) is on permanantly and the 5th button (intensive wash) flashes.

If it were the other way round (1 flashing and 5 on) it would be an E1 error but that is an unknown one you have there 😕

Engineer time to be honest as other components failing can cause odd error codes on these (software gets confused ;))
