Hi all, I need an integrated fridge (tall) ideally with an ice box so have decided a Caple RiR178 looks as though it suits the bill. trouble is I am currently refurbishing our home and we don’t have any central heating, just a wood burning stove thus it gets very cold inside. I have contacted a number of retailers of the Caple fridge plus tried Caple themselves but they are currently closed until 5th Jan. I need to know whether the fridge is rated N (16-32 degrees) or SN (10 – 32 degrees) as I need a fridge that works down to 10 degrees ambient temp. Can anyone help me with this info on the Caple fridge please?

    Hi

In real terms you will have no guarantee that you’ll find any fridge / freezer that the manufacturer will say it’ll work as 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} will say they need minimum of +13 – 16c and if it fails and your using it out with this range then no warranty.

thanks for the reply, just wondered if I should be looking for a fridge suitable for outbuildings? this then limits the range available as to have an integrated fridge in an outbuilding is not normal, just my home is very cold at the moment!! Will the fridge ‘come back to life’ when the ambient temperature rises back above the lower limit?

Yes it should start up again when the ambiant temperature returns to normal.
