Why do I want carbons for a 13 month old machine ?
Well a large lump of polystyrene was left in the base of the machine from new, and over 13 months it has been rubbing on the motor and eventually broke the male tag off one of the carbon brushes.
The brushes are not of a type I have seen before.
Have found that the brushes are not listed as a spare part in TDS and also not listed as a spare on Connections.
I did a PNE on Connect, and they asked for makers name on motor, which is ACC. I did a search on internet and they do have factories in Italy, Germany and China.But can get no where with connect other than 3 part numbers and pictures which are not the same as fitted to this motor.
Anyone have any info on this ?????

Many thanks for your email Geoff.
Looking at that list it seems any ACC made motors require the DST50226588007 carbon brush.
I have brought up the picture of that part on Connect, it doesn’t look quite the same but guess it must be the right one.
Anyway will have to try it, will post here again to confirm later.

Yep that’s the one, and it’s alternative in genuine.
The terminal on the holder exits in the right place too. A very unusual place to exit don’t you think. I was going to try to describe it, but couldn’t think how to 😳
Have you come across these before ? It’s very confusing with the chart you emailed me, I cross referenced the motor number to the chart and that Dst 50226588007 brush just didn’t look right.
I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to sort this for me.
