In addition to the USA, we support Canada and the UK, with transactions in the native currencies, $CAD and £GBP respectively.

The app is called Credit Card Terminal UK and is supplied by http://www.innerfence.com/

Looking at the pricing on the US site it costs 99¢ for the iphone app, $25 per month for the merchant account and 24¢ + 2.09{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}–3.79{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} per transaction. The 2.09{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} charge applies if you verify the card details by inputting the cardholders postcode and house number.

I have sent them an email asking them to confirm UK pricing and wonder if anyone has tried this so far??

No PIN number required taking transactions in this way, just the card number and postcode.

Indeed, far from secure I would have thought.:(

The transaction charges Johnmac11 mentions using an iPhone is far more costly than using a UK based merchant service company especially the ‘verification charge’ that does never apply when using the more conventional and secure UK based systems.

It appears though that from the outset that technology is coming to our aid with the introduction of these new services. iPhone is pioneering all sorts of hi-tech stuff as a customer package these days. And for many that makes it an impressive ‘must have’ gadget in many ways. If you want it you can have it, but be warned, you’ll bl**dy well pay for it, so will your customers. 😉
