ParticipantLooking at a customers roll up and roll down garage door that was installed by Zenith Windows around 7 years ago. The door will only go up in one foot increments if you keep on hitting the up button on the remote it will get there eventually. It will not go down at all and the elderly lady has to unwind it by hand on the outside of the garage wall to close it.
The main console flashes 1 long red followed by three orange flashes?
The battery unit transmitter on the bottom of the door had 4 completely flat 3 volt lithium batts which I have replaced and the error is still there?
The same is repeated on the manual buttons on the console inside. Seems that the remote is functioning correctly. All the DIL switches on the pcb1&2 are all in the off position. No photo electric cell has been fitted to this unit at the bottom. She had some cowboy come along and quote her £500.00 for a repair. She is in her 80’s and alone and rather vulnerable.
Has anybody got some knowledge on these units and their faults?FlyingBrick

as with most automated doors there will be adjustable limit switches. when you select a direction up or down the unit will continue till the limit switch stops it.
these switches will mounted on the door roll somewhere and it may be as silly as they have worked loose
have posted a few links I have found

Thanks Dave
Have downloaded installation manual to try and sort out what the cowboys have played with. Looks like something on the switch system as I found a yellow plastic lock bracket prised off the top where the roller switches are located. Damaged with a big screwdriver and lying on the garage floor.
Gets you real mad when the elderly lady has been charged for doing even more damage and I would not charge until up and running again. Have to work out what they have done now when it properly only needed the four lithium batteries to be changed on the door transmitter.FllyingBrick
