Moderatorit seems oddly cartel like that both connect and qualtex put up their carriage charges and their free carriage order points to the same level on the same day
so now i have to find a £100 order to get free carriage
But
if I order from Europart I can get free carriage on a £50 order when ordered online. May be time to ask for a credit account at EuropartDave

I think its more a dpd thing
its getting harder out there, people are more internet savvy and think everything should be £3 . going to have to give them the option now of wanting it sooner, pay carriage or ill order off ebay.. prices are well better anyway, and most of them are from connect/ebay anyway
its a joke

Carriage charges have been steadily rising for the past few years so, not exactly a shocker.
Even the cost of the most basic postal services have risen quite substantially. And, the service has gotten worse as well as more costly.
On occasion I find myself saying to people, you can have “free” carriage and higher prices or, you can have lower prices and transparent pricing on carriage and packing charges. Which would you prefer because either way, it’s pretty much the same thing.
The cost of it doesn’t go away and no carrier offers a free service but, if you finding that does I’d be over the moon if you could share that with me. 😉
I suspect that the £100 thing is the point at which, in most instances, the margins allow them to soak up the costs of handling, shipping and packing.

Meanwhile those of us that sell via eBay are now part of their ‘Global Shipping Programme’ where our goods can be shipped worldwide for FREE (just pay local postal charges to a UK distribution centre.) 😀

Am I right in thinking under the eBay Global Shipping Program, eBay charges the customer for international postage instead of the seller, so not free by any means?

Sorry but way off topic I know. 🙁
…..but I don’t give a monkeys. On Monday I used their a global shipping sending a Bosch motor end frame to Portugal and a guy in Greece has bought a Bosch module off me for shipping tomorrow when I get time to go to the local post office. (Expats seeking rare spares 😉 )
