ParticipantI have a Carron Cordon Bleu 4 cooker, Serial No. 41881. I need some new door hinge bearings (plastic bushes with a collar, known also as “top-hat bushes”, I believe). Anyone know of a source or a compatible product? Thanks.

The originals are obsolete as you have discovered I guess.
Tricity used something similar on older models, can you photo one and email it to me please ?
Dave.

Thanks for prompt reply, will send photo as soon as I can get it organised. Another avenue which may be of use is that, way back in 1994, Cannon Industries could apparently supply them under Part No. 029900202.

Hi there. I’m also after some parts for a Carron Cordon Bleu 4 gas cooker, specifialy the 8″ square saucepan support “thingies” that sit on top of the gas rings. They are held in place on the cooker top by two holes, one on each side of the square.
I have tracked down two people who are selling these cookers, one in London and the other in Livingston and have put in calls to both. I live in London and, if I manage to buy the one in my area (assuming its “thingies” is the one I want) I would be happy to let you have first pick of the rest of the cooker in terms of spares.
All that I’d ask is a small contribution to the cost of removing these items from the cooker, p&p (at on inflated Royal Mail prices) and, if the guy wants me to dispose of the cooker, help towards the cost of that.
I’m afraid I don’t know the serial numbers, but I would imagine that most of the parts for that specific model are interchangeable. I’m willing to take pics and post them/send them to an appropiate address.
Hope this helps,
Nic

Hello, this Carron Cordon Bleu is for sale in the London/M25 area. If this is similar to what you are looking for, you can reply here and maybe we can do a deal together, with you taking the parts you need off this one…

Last call for BrianUK: I’m picking up the above cooker on Monday night. I will be keeping one or two items from it but – sadly – disposing of the rest soon after. If you want the door hinge bearings from this one, please get in touch. Cheers, Nic

1am a new member and have seen that there are posts already regarding this very subject so I hope some one can help.
I am looking for spares for my cooker the part number is 104 from the instruction and user book, it is the ‘flint’ that lights the gas. Does anyone know where I might get hold of these I need 3! I know it is an obsolete cooker now and was told to Cannon Industies in Manchester but cannot find any listings for them, also was told Thorn EMI bought the brand Carron but Thorn EMI don’t exist any longer, so over to you and hope someone can help.
Many thanks

I have an entire Carron Cordon Bleu 4 to sell like the one pictured above. Let me know if you are intested in purchasing – It’s located in central London – or if you happen to know of any second hand shops that might be interested in it. Thanks so much.

My cooker must be 28 to 30 years old. They certainly new how to make them in those days!
