Wondered if it is OK to fit dimmable LED spots instead? Realise that dimmable LEDs may need a special dimmer circuit, so don’t want to buy them if they could damage the existing hood circuitry? Thanks in advance.. Colin May 30, 2014 at 8:26 pm #414651 adminKeymaster Re: CATA box cooker hood, Designair – Are dimmable LED spots Hi It will void your warranty on the hood assembly. Dimmable LEDs are notoriously fickle and I can first hand tell that is true and they can and do interfere with electronics. Non-dimmable one’s aren’t a whole cheap better at times either. Then there’s the warranty issue as Bryan says. K. May 31, 2014 at 8:59 am #414653 corkeeParticipant Re: CATA box cooker hood, Designair – Are dimmable LED spots Sounds like a no-no for now then. Maybe sometime in the future, they’ll invent one that is a direct replacement for quartz or tungsten bulbs, until then, I’ll leave well alone. Thanks for your advice Col Author Posts Viewing 4 posts - 1 through 4 (of 4 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic. Log In Username: Password: Keep me signed in Log In
