ParticipantI might get a bit of verbal for asking, but hey ho..
Have this TD to go out to, but it’s a 60 mile round trip so want to try and pre-judge it if possible. Maybe pre-order any spares if we can come to a potential solution.
Have only stripped one of these down once about two years ago so I’m not that familiar with them.
Have phoned the customer to ascertain as much info as possible, and it seems that the machine hasn’t been drying as well as usual for the past month and now it cuts out and stops after five to ten minutes.
I know I’m asking how long a piece of string is, but if there’s a known issue then I’d be grateful. Personally I’m thinking of a blocked pipe from condenser box or similar, but that doesn’t fit with decribed fault 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}.
I’ve done a search on the 601 in these forums and haven’t got any relevant results hence why I’m asking.
Thanks for any help offerred.

You may well be on the right track, usually blockages cause this fault.
This is the only dryer I have had to sort out for this same fault.

Jim’s right Trevor, virtually 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} a blockage. I’d be amazed if it were anything else.

Thanks guys, very informative read Jim, 😉 I can’t remember if she has pets but I’ll ask her when I call to book it in, and tactfully remind her of potential charges as well.
Hopefully this will be a one shot call then 🙂

I would ask her to try it on the low heat. I’ve got one of these that works fine on low settings but cuts out on the high.

Quick update from last week:
Thanks guys, I spoke to customer regarding cleaning filters and usage etc. I also diplomatically warned her of the consequences of it being a user fault and lo and behold… she rang back a few days later to cancel the call as it’s now working perfectly.
Have informed Kim
