seen this as cutting out. Found door coming open so will order Lock/Push. Also leaking as when water tank pushed in the fixed pipe is not directing water into tank.
Is there a flexible pipe to direct water?

Also there is no display. Do i need to replace control unit or is there an easier option

    Thanks,

    Mike

That’s quite a lot of info to try and work out what you mean and in what order this all happened. No display can be door related and stat related. Unlikely to be board.

    ongoing problem here.

    Leaking from left rear

Also, there is only a display on Timed Dry and Revitalise.
    Delayed start timer works ok.
    Fitted new door catch

Can you tell me please how to access the pump reservoir. It looks like the back has to come off and the drum taken out. Not easy i suspect

    thanks,

    Mike

cd 601w leaking and no display

Leaking from rear left and no display except on Timed Dry and Revitalise.

How do you access the reservoir that may be blocked. Do you have to take off the back and drum out.

    Thanks,

    Mike

Yes back off to get to pump. You should be able to access it without removing drum.

Since I’m on a roll tonight for upsetting people it seems.. 😉

I think that we had this “customer” on the phone today being particularly unpleasant. Then the follow up snide emails. Given free reign I think I may be just as unpleasant in return but, I’ve not done so. Yet.

I was asked to leave it be.

I was unaware of these thread, that I’ve now merged to prevent confusion because the customer mentioned it in an email.

A condenser dryer leaking and cutting out.

Why will it cut out is the first question I’d ask and, the logical explanation would be that, for some reason that it is overheating and tripping on the overheat. Then the question becomes, why is it overheating?

Now consider that it is “leaking”. On a dryer the only place water can come from is either the laundry put in it or from the environment from condensation, there is no other source of moisture. Or at least, there shouldn’t be.

To cut a long story short and save a whole bunch of hassle for you, what I’d guess and I’d be pretty confident was correct, is that the machine hasn’t been cleaned out correctly and that it’s gotten clogged up with lint. That will be blocking the pump or the airways restricting airflow and causing the machine to cut out and, quite probably blocking either the lifter pump or one of the hoses.

It’s about the only logical explanation for the symptoms.

This is pretty common in commercial use because very often staff don’t bother their backsides to clean them out, especially the condenser unit as regularly as they should.

Of course until you open it up and look though, you won’t know for sure but I’d be willing to bet that’s the cause.

If it is, you can charge the owner whatever you like for cleaning up their mess.

    K.
