not trying to tell a time served engineer something obvious but….. the filters on these are very fine and even though the lint is removed, the small holes can still be blocked, needs a good wash under the tap. Not easy to spot when we are used to usual Hotpoint/creda/indesit type filters.

Door filter is very clean, Called back this morning and she had just tried it and it cut out after five minutes.
Stripped down the back panel and heater ducting. There was a fluff/hair build up on the plate where the air vents through the holes in the back of the drum.
Cleared this, popped a damp towel in and it ran perfectly for 30 minutes. 🙂

Still having problems with this one, she has been away for a couple of weeks but is still having the same fault, all filters are spotless and washed clean, there is no blockage anywhere.
The modification suggested in the tech info is part number 8801221, is this available as a spare?

Hi All
Had one of these which the heater relay had stuck on and was cutting off on the high temp stat and then restarting once it cooled down.

So, was that a pcb change to cure Bryan?

Yes new pcb cured it.

Hmm, this one is cutting out less than 10 minutes into the cycle. I would favour changing the overheat stat before the pcb first.

Went back to this machine this week, pulled off the lower panel and checked the condensor and found this. This little lot had built up after less than two or three days use. :rolls:
I have suggested she changes her breed of cat from Ragdolls ( yes that is their official name ) to those ugly looking, hairless cats. This is her website, you can see just what the dryer is up against.
http://www.dizzipawsragdolls.co.uk/She sold one of these moggies to a woman in Switzerland recently, this woman paid for the cat and a private jet for my customer to fly the beast out first class, total cost around £3500. :eeek:

jim. might be worth checking the door seal has not slipped from its position on the bottom of the door. I had a similar problem(not cat related) with constant blocked fan and condenser and since re fitting seal have not heard back.

On that note, Im sure there was a modified gasket that should be fitted to the door / filter area??

Door seal is OK, it was replaced a while back because she had accidentally ripped it.
I am going to change the title of this thread. 😆
