CDA 496/1 fault

New dishwasher supplied with new kitchen works fine for 3 days then just seems to be stuck in one cycle-cold rinse (?) Swithes off after about 5 mins. I`ve tried unplugging and switching off then on. No error light. CDA will not even answer calls until 2 January. 😥

496 is a Whirlpool-built machine – can’t find anything for a 496/1. Can you have a look around the edges of the door and see if there is a 12 digit code starting with 8?

OK, that’s a Whirlpool serial number. In theory, you should get the start lamp flashing a pattern if there is a fault. You could try resetting the machine – hold down the “start” button until you get a beep; shut the door, drain pump should run for one minute. When it stops you should be able to programme and start the machine. Might help…..

Failing that, Marigolds for a few days I’m afraid.

Hi, I’ve got just the same problem with just the same model. Goes through whole cycle in about three minutes without acheiving anything as far as I can tell. Can you tell me how you fixed it so I can try the same? Thanks best Jack
