First post – great forum. I have learnt so much in 5 minutes. If I found this before it would of saved me loads of money to date.

Anyway, I have a CDA 906SS double oven. The top oven works fine. The bottom oven is the issue.

The oven was on last night cooking dinner and the power tripped. Thought nothing of it.

However, we tried to use it today and we have discovered that the oven does not work heat. The grill works fine and when you put it on Fan assisted it makes the “sort of” usual noise but does not heat up.

Any sugestions to the cause and more importantly and suggestions on how to fix this

    thanks

More than likely the fan element has failed.

Make sure the plug and /or power is disconnected before attempting repair :plug: :zap:

If you need parts, I’m sure that the Parts section of UKW can help.
Failing that, get an engineer through the Repairs@ module

    Hi Chrisyd,
how old is the oven as most CDA appliances carry a 5 year parts guarantee.

Re: CDA 906ss – Bottom oven not heating

    Thanks for the quick reply.

I dug out the guarantee yesterday and it has 1 years manufacturers guarantee but with an option to purchase between 2 to 4 years. I have had the oven 3 1/2 years now.

CDA did not contact me after 1 year so I did not extend the guarantee.

I will speak to them tomorrow and see what the status is. If it is not under guarantee then I will look at replacing the element next week when the father in-law is over (he is a qualified electrican) if I can get one in time.

    Thanks
