CDA CI330IN front panel/door seal

Hi

I am trying to replace the door seal on my CDA CI330IN washing machine. From what I can see online it would be best to remove the front panel; does anyone know how to do this? I took off the outer spring wire around the door seal but can’t see how to remove the inner wire connecting the door seal to the drum without removing the panel. There is a bolt visible with what looks like a locking nut but I can’t get a spanner in that gap!

Hi Chris,

You can’t get the front panel off because, it doesn’t come off. It’s welded to the casing per the diagram for it.

That’s the problem with generic videos etc… no specifics.

Well that’s a good reason it won’t come off!

OK I assume that there’s a knack to fitting these things and it must be possible by going in through the top. But fitting the wire to the drum must be pretty tricky.

Both hands in through the front or, from the top.

Fiddly but not too bad.

Do it all from the front. No magic tips I’m afraid but normally very easy

There is a bolt with a spring on it that seems to provide the tension. Do I undo the bolt fully or just loosen it? Presume it’ll come off if I loosen it enough?

Yup, loosen it off till it’ll pop off.
