CDA CI993 door staying locked when half load is on

Hi on a CDA CI993 the door locks whenever the half load button is on. it even does this if the machine is off and the door is unlocked and you push the half load button the door will lock. I have checked that the wash heater isn’t down to earth along with anything on the dryer. The machine seems to work fine otherwise. I am thinking it must be the timer but as it is special order with masterpart i thought i would see if anyone can give me some advice thanks Peter :lesson:

🙂 it is weird isn’t it, i am sure no one else has touched it though its through a letting agent i have worked with for 15+ years and i sold the machine to them. Thanks Peter

Do you need to have the half load button pressed in to get the dryer to work?

Yes it does otherwise i would bypass it 🙂

Went back and it has now changed, half load button doesnt affect it
But now you have to press off button and wait 2 minutes for door to open.
Its in a rented flat and they insist it has to be perfect.

That two minute wait is normal isn’t it?

Can you get the manual for it?

If it isn’t normal you have to start by changing the lock?

(Long shot but do try plugging it in another socket)
