On sorting out some other issues with the oven I realise that the cooling fan is quite noisy, goes through sort of a purring sound (but not a nice purr ) that goes up and down in volume and intensity. The nearest example I can find is this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxCGXGHI94o the first 20 seconds but mine is a little softer noise.
So am thinking of a pre empted replacement but its a duel fuel gas hob and it sits under the hob burners. Can a replacement be done without removing the the gas burners part. ?

check the fan, a lot of the time the fan rotor slips away from the motor and rubs on the end frame

since its only a rubber grommet holding it you can normally push it towards the motor a bit to stop it

Yes that is the part and my oven is listed there.
Any thoughts of fitting that compatible part instead of the twice the price OEM one.
Also I think I am looking at a gas safe engineer because from what I can see the hob burners have to be removed so if the compatible one packes in then its extra labour to replace again 🙁
