ParticipantHi all,
Hi,
Our CDA 448 seems to be stuck on a cycle, confused or broken? I have tried resetting by pressing the prog select for approx 5 seconds until it beeps and allows me to change progs. However, when I select a new prog, it appears to resume the prog it was already on.
I have tried cleaning everything, checking all the pipes for blockages etc etc and nothing seems to work.
As it’s a built in model, we cannot see what’s happening with the lights, but every time we try to run a cycle, the machine will give out 5 short beeps after approximately 2 or 3 minutes.
The cycle before this happened, dishes were not cleaned properly and the tablet was on the floor of the washer, half dissolved.
Any ideas before I call the engineerRegards

Does it go back to making the drain pump noise? If so, the machine may well have leaked into the tray under the machine and the flood protection system is activated.
Power off before sticking fingers in.

Thanks for the reply.
Whatever we do, it does go back to making noises like it’s trying to drain water away. I filled the kettle and poured that in, then set the machine going. After a few minutes, I checked and the water was gone.
Whatever we do, the machine sounds like it’s draining, then beeps 5 times after a few minutes, then continues to make the draining noise.
Have now given up. We will try whatever you suggest before calling the engineer. Had to wash dishes the old way tonight :eeek:
Regards

Pull it out, pull the plug and lean the machine back. If water comes out from the tray at the bottom, you have a leak.

Penguin,
Machine now working properly. It’s a bit of a story, but basically, there was a bit of a blockage in our waste diposal unit which must have been affecting the dishwasher drainage. Unblocked the waste disposal and the dishwasher worked a treat.
Kindest regards
