CDA CW494 Cannot get machine to start constant beep

Hi,

Please can anyone help!

Salt indicator lit, so filled and tried to start wash cycle as per instruction booklet.

Salt indicator back to normal, start indicator now flashing 4 times.
When I close the door constant beep and nothing happens.

I have switched on and off and tried each wash cycle but still the same flashing count and beep.

Hope this means something to somebody.

Many thanks for any advise you can give me.

Hi

The fault indecator is for a drainage problem,hold the start button in for approx 10 seconds to cancell then restart a new program to see how it goes.

Hi my dishwasher is also showing the salt indicator (same model as above now as the appliance was in my home when i moved in i have no instructions. I have bought dishwasher salt but am not sure how much to put in can anyone help please

PS there also seems to be water left over in the hole where the container goes to collect waste food is this normal? Do i need to try and use an unblocker if so what one and where do i put it?

Remove salt cap and fill with salt until it is full to the brim. Mop up any split salt from the interior.

The sump area is never quite empty. Do not use an unblocker – there are plenty of proprietary dishwasher cleaning products available.

I have also been having the same problem aa Kat1. Constant beeping and no working. I tried the holding down for 10 seconds and it didnt work. The water drainage reservoir is full to the top. Should it be like that?

I would appreciate any help. Thanks very much.
