It works…but not sounding how I would expect it to. The motor ‘pulses’ on wash. 😕 The quality of the wash is poor but everything else – heater, pump and fill are all OK. The motor isn’t too expensive, but I’d like a second opinion.
The motor doesn’t seem to have a tacho on it – any ideas??
It’s a Whirlpool machine. Is it fitted with the Askoll motor? If so there’s a whole raft of info regarding them.
Replacement is a Ceset motor and pump.

This machine runs a motor similar to the replacement motor that W’pool supply to replace the Askoll one. Although it is not the same.
What I need to know is whether the motor pulses on the wash or is it failing? The wash is poor and the pressure from the wash rotors sounds low. If it was the Askoll it would be u/s.
Can only think of 2 causes for the wash pump to pulse. The main one being that the motor is knackered, another one that I have not saw for a while is that after a leak water sprays onto the WI switch in the sump which can cause random pulsing of the motor.
