ParticipantHi all, wonder if I could ask for some help and advice please? I have a Washer/dryer. Model C1925. It ia around 3 years old. Over the last few weeks it has not been drying well at all. Today, its just stopped drying completely. The cycle is fine, it’s just not getting warm. Seemingly, this applies also to the washer cycle. I’m therefore assuming it is the heating element that has gone. No error codes though? Anyway, I’m reasonably handy, and it seems that I can get an element online, however, before I thought of attempting it myself Id like, to see a tech diagram to make sure I can find the element in there? Any ideas where I may find one? Hopefully, it will be a simple swap, but any feedback or guidance, much appreciated.

Moderatorthere are 2 elements
one for the washer at the bottom of the drum, under water when its operating
one ofr the tumble dryer normally at the topin other words it would be rare for both to fail so you need to figure out if its heating on wash

ParticipantHi Dave, thanks for that. Actually, on checking, it’s apparent that the washing cycle is also staying cold. The clothes are stone cold after its spin. So, is there an a component that controls both heating elements? Or a fuse possibly?

If that’s after the final spin then it’s normal as it will have rinsed them in cold water. You need to check part way through the wash cycle to see if it’s heating.

Moderatorthe door is double glazed so is hard to feel heat
try selecting a hot wash like 60 or 90 degrees then will be able to find out
or if you have a smart meter you will see a jump in used power as the heater comes on

ParticipantHi Dave, yes, put the washer on 60 and you can feel the warmth through the glass, so, at least the washer heating element is ok?

Moderatorok so if its just the dryer the element is usually at the top and there can be thermostats with reset buttons on them
