I accept the challenge and also challenge whoever told you that these parts are obsolete.
They are not !
The whole door is not available as one whole part though, it never was, which bits do you need for it ?
Dave.

Cheers

the black plastic lug on the door that one of the hinges screws into has snapped.
So could do with the lot really if the lug is integral to the door.
so possibly door, hinges, and any other fittings !!!????

Black plastic lug ?
If it’s the lug on the plastic door frame that’s snapped off, which is the usual that’s all you need, about £8 on it’s own.
Otherwise you’re paying for all the latch parts and the glass which are probably OK.

have not seen the unit myself so dont know if the lug is part of the door ie all one piece.if the lug can be removed from door then thats all i need

Yes, if you can tell me exactly which part is required 😉
As I said, it sounds like the plastic door frame to me but I need confirmation please 😀

I have another challenge for you Dave; we have about 5 washing machines lying around, our Servis Easi Logic model M9310W stopped mid-wash leaving us with a flood and wet soapy dirty clothes; the only machine we could press into service to get the school uniforms clean was…
yes, our ancient Hotpoint electronic 800 de-luxe model No 9524 with the noisy bearings.can bearings still be obtained for this machine please?
Also, we were given an Indesit W123 UK BG with a missing drive belt, drum and bearings seem fine…how much is a drive belt for this machine please….I can’t work oout what’s wrong with the Servis..it’s just obstinate!
TIA,

Thank you Iadom,
OK…I think I looked at those, and couldn’t find the relevant model number on the list, although it looks as if they will fit the machine that I need the drive belt for, which could be useful if the bearings on that one are damaged at all….is this a coincidence or what 🙂

The Hotpoint 9524 is a superior machine to both the Indesit and the Servis. The machine does its thinking with a mechanical timer rather than flimsy electronics. It’s also very easy to repair compared with many others.
