    No, not Big Brother, the horrible fabric “throws” that fall apart in a machine. I think they are handwash only, had 3 in the past 6 months;

    One i gave up on.
One i had to split a Zan tub anyway (2 carrier bags of the stuff inside)
One today (servis), around 50 filter lots, 1 1/2 hours!

Any tips on these nasty things, or is it just in Essex πŸ™‚

    That takes me back πŸ˜₯

Had an old couple many years ago with a 100yr old chanille tablecloth.
Wrote off an old Philco w/d.
I was there for about an hour and a half flushing the damn thing through
until I got so peed off I gave up on it. πŸ‘Ώ
It just seems to regenerate itself every time you put more water in.
    Makes a lovely soup though!!

Bathroom rubber backed mats is the all time favourite and washing the dogs bedding comes a close second!!! πŸ˜†

My wife tells me it’s a wool mix; if you sat in a lab for 10 years it would be impossible to invent a better WM blocker-upper!
Wilf, i have to agree on the feathers; Had a nasty one to clear a while back, it was the smell that got me, two pillows full.

Ah, if it’s wool that explains a lot. It needs washed with a wool detergent, most normal ones will cause it just to disintegrate. πŸ˜‰

Another good reason not to cross by the Chanelle tunnel if it’s falling apart. πŸ˜†

    Re: chanelle falling apart

The Bosch & Miele type with the built in trap at back of machine are terrible for blocking with this stuff, also has anyone noticed these machines with either non return valves in sump or built in water traps tend to have customers complaining or smelly machines?? I reckon they are not a good idea as most consumers now wash at low temp & bacteria isn’t killed hence machine stinks, i find i’ce to reprograme most Mieles to take more water & do extra rinse to cure problem

    Re: chanelle falling apart

Finished an AEG (14 month’s old) tonight in the workshop – too blocked to clear in the home. Unbelievable amount of material in the drum, pump, sump – absolutely EVERYWHERE!!! 😯
Strip and rebuild was the only real course of action. Three 2 litre containers full ! Come across this several times with rubber – backed bath sets. Nice job! 😈
Funny though, I was reading this thread last week and thought, ‘What’s chanelle?’ Bloody well know now!! πŸ‘Ώ

Did one where i ran machine with sump hose off filter assembly in customers landscaped rear garden with garden hose in soap drawer.
You should have seen the mess. Looked very festive 😈
