    Hi All

As you may know we are switching distributor to Hi-way express during July.

The next two containers of machines arrive on the 6th July and will go in to Hi-way and CDA will be phased out.

Hi-way will provide a better and more flexible service and hopefully save us some cost which we can pass on to you.

Note : The next batch of machines are badged ISE 5 – they are the same the change of logo is to distiguish the existing machine from the new ISE 10.

    Regards

    John

    Re: Change of distributor

Not often I need to grumble…..

HE delivered an ISE for me last Thursday. Mrs P unable to be at home, left note on door “Please deliver machine to garage across road”. Which he did and Stuart signed for it.

This Thursday, HE are supposed to deliver 2 ISEs, one for delivery this evening. Driver rings my mobile to say nobody home, I say leave at the garage and Stuart will sign for them. Still on his mobile, he nips over the road and says “Are you Stuart, and will you sign for these washers?” I hear him say yes.

10 minutes later, I get a phone call from girl in the office, saying they’re going to RTB with them, I point out that that’s not good enough, so she asks me to send a fax authorising them to leave them with Stuart. I point out that I’m in a cellar 12 miles away, repairing a waashing machine. At this point she says she’ll phone ISE for authorisation and ring back. She doesn’t. It transpires that we only actually got the delivery by Julia coming back and pulling in in front of the truck as he drove off.

If they’ll drop off remotley once, what is the problem?

Then the evening delivery delayed until tomorrow………

    Chris.

    Further to the above –

As you may be aware, I live opposite the Station Pub. Popped in this evening for a couple and the landlady (Linda) asked what was going on with the HE truck. She told me that the two machines were simply dropped off the back of the truck……. I haven’t had a chance to look at the appliances, but I’ll take a quick peek in the morning before I set off for Cornwall.

    Re: Change of distributor

I Have to say my first delivery with the new people of 5 ISEs was exactly the same poor attitude as mentioned at the begin of this thread. Literally you want them off the truck you get them off the truck.

I had a word with David up at ISE to advise him.

Two days ago I had a further delivery of 10 and the driver couldnt have been more helpful if he tried. Completely different to the first driver.

The inconsistency appears to be at the final stage of delivery driver and thats going to be hard to manage, but its early days for HE with this contract and I am sure the you guys up at ISE will quitely have the approriate conversations with them and all will come right soon.

    Regards all

    Re: Change of distributor

    I Had a meeting with our new distributer Hi-way Express earlier this week to highlight the points made in the forums and to me vebally. I stressed the following;

    1. Contact 1 hour before every drop to ensure someone is in to meet the driver. (If this does not happen call me with the specifics).
    2. Though the drop off points are houses the nature of the drop is Trade i.e. they go for storage on installation. Drivers will stop querying the drops and saying stuff like we are not insurred for home delivery (they are).
    3. Driver attitude. Drivers are drivers so it is a bit of a lottery, but again as with Chris tell me of specific problems.

My gut feel is that as we get used to them and they get used to us it will settle down.

I had a drop of three machines this morning, unlike CDA the waggon had a tail lift and the driver helped me put them in the garage which is what they are meant to do.

Any more problems let me know

    John
