ParticipantHi anybody,
could anyone tell me if they changed a thermostat on a schreiber app6403, how easy is it? the model i have the thermostat is located behind the front control panel.I have just installed a new motor in our dyson hoover, would this be the same difficulty level 😕July 12, 2007 at 5:01 pm #220798clivejameson

Definitely not….at least you won’t have to remember where so many bits fit back together 😆

thanks for the reply clive,
at least you know where to start on a dyson.I’ve had a look at the front control panel.obviously doesn’t screw off.does it just pull away from the freezer itself.maybe i should leave it to the experts.trouble is the expert i got couln’t even dignose the problem.
thanks again

marley102Perhaps the ‘expert’ wasn’t so after all?
Might be worth clicking the link below to find a local engineer to correctly diagnose the fault before you start spending cash on parts 😉

You need to pull the machine out, on the top is a plastic cover, remove the cover and you see the pcb, not a thermostat, push knob out, and then slide pcb up.
