I think the lack of spin with my machine may be a brush problem as draining ok and filling ok, belt seems fine. I was wondering how difficult changing the brushes is. The motor is accessible from underneath but does it need to be removed? Is there any kind of guide / service manual available by any chance? I’d like to have a go before writing it off.
    Thanks in advance!

    Good outline here:

Most common brushes can be found here:

The carbons are the black cartridges on the end of the motor and are usually retained by 5.5mm headed screws. It is theoretically possible to do this fron under the machine, but far better access can be obtained by splitting the casing.

    Power off, of course.
