    Hi,
Would be great if anyone out there can advise me.

I have recently changed the heating element in my main oven as the old one was not working. The new one is connected and having tested it the oven is now working again. However, I just have a little worry that I wanted to check with people here:

Basically, the old heating element that was already in the oven had only one metal exit at each of the connections (where the heating element gets connected to the wiring in the oven). The new one I purcashed and fitted has 2 metal exits at each of the connections. So once all the wiring is attached on the new one there are two metal exits on each of the sides that are uncovered. I am worried if this is a fire risk? I think not, however as I am not an electrician, and have very little knowledge of these things, would really appreciate a response.

I have attached photos of the old element and the new one (the new one is the one that is connected to the wiring).

    The model is: AKP951 WH

    Thank you.

    Thanks Andy. 😀

… Just noticed the picture isn’t that clear. It looks like all the metal connectors are connected. But both in the top connector and the bottom connector only one of the metals is connected to the wire, the other one is not connected to anything. In the top one only the top one of the two is connected to the wire, and in the bottom one only the bottom one of the two is connected to the wire.

Thanks again Andy. Good to feel reassured after doing electrical job.
