Changing the interior light in a AEG Dishwasher.

Sorry don’t have model number yet, as I haven’t been to job,sheduled for thursday. Customer says it’s a AEG Favourite, can’t be many with a light in can there??

Anyway she says the light dont work, so before I go, can anyone give us a clue how to access the lamp.

I can remember repairing a Bosch tumble drier tension pulley, and customer asked if I could fit a new lamp in the drum, never did find out how to access that, so she had to do it in the dark. 😆

Electricmalc, its either a case of just undoing the bulb cover inside the tub or removing the r/h side panel – it may be a LV halogen blub so there will be a transformer lurking underneath somwhere. And can sombody please explain why the #$!* we need a light in a dishwasher? I mean you cant load em without pulling the baskets out – whats wrong with the kitchen light…

Thanks Farmboy, I didn’t think it was going to be that easy, thanks for info, will see tomorrow when I get to job.
A very good point re why have a light, 2 reasons I guess, customer says in the handbook it says to call service dept to fit new lamp when it fails, and also gimmicks sell machines, youve only got to look at dyson cleaners.

A Only one but the light bulb really has to want to change.
