Changing water pipe on side by side fridge

Have to change the water feed pipe on a Siemens KA58NP90GB/02 side by side fr/frz. The pipe has split at the bottom and there is no play in the hose to cut off, pull through and reconnect.

I have taken the stainless steele outer door off and removed screws holding the control panel in place but it does not budge and I am afraid to force it in case it breaks! Has anyone removed or had a similar job and can advise me of how to tackle this job?

I don’t think you can replace the hose separately so it’s a complete door job unfortunately .

You have to be kidding? you can’t change the water hose! oh my now thats going to be expensive for such a minor fault..

On most makes of American style fridge freezer it is a door replacement as the pipe is foamed in.

The square plastic panel at the front i.e. the bit with water/ice dispenser and controls was not moving despite removing the screws! Would that be down to the foam as well?

No they are clipped on and when the screws are removed it has to be levered off carefully with a screwdriver.

You will still not be able to access the pipe as the rear panel is foamed in and no access to pipe.

The new style of BSH side by sides do have a replaceable water pipe.
