Anyone know who this is or is it just someone else trying to cash in on what they can dig up?

What is interesting is that on the Dyson thread, there is a box underneath advertising ‘Whitegoods skills’ not sure what you are getting but I am getting a certain local individual who I have conversed with you at length about many times, initials of J I.
Jim.
EDIT, just tried it again and this time it has a link to another local indies website????
Have these local repairers signed up to this outfit?
AFAIK they are both UKWG’s members.

Looking around a bit more it looks like 75{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the posts/articles have been lifted from here. :rolls:
I suppose you could always ‘Like’ him on FB.

Interesting.
Apparently a number of UKW, DASA and WTA members were contacted by this crew inviting them to take part in this forum. Where they got the details from I’ve yet to find out but, it wouldn’t surprise me if the methods used where on the wrong side of the law.
I can only assume that they have harvested the email addresses from somewhere, which is very naughty IMO.
I’ve contacted the hosting company to see if they want to do something about it before I go and issue a take down order on the site.
As, unsurprisingly, my email has gone unanswered.

They have ripped off my work too K. I shall be making an official complaint to their hosting company

I did it and it’s been ignored basically.

If they are hosting it using their own physical servers in their own premises (which I doubt very much) they maybe can ignore it, but if they are using any service provider looking after the server or renting the servers etc then a complaint to that company will usually get results.
It’s also against terms and conditions when registering a domain name to with-hold your address and punishable by having the domain name taken off you. Only exception is if it’s an individual but this is very clearly a business carrying advertising etc.
Chances are you’ll find a lot more of your stuff, I’ve already found several of mine. It looks like the site has been built at least initially by plagiarising content.
The annoying thing is they are ranking very high for terms stolen from my sites, not higher than me but high enough to get traffic. There’s Google ads on the site too so they can be reported to google adsense,
Loads of stuff about how to deal with it to be found searching google for
reporting plagiarised content stolen from your website
As if we haven’t enough on our plate 🙁

Maybe we need to join up and expose them with some posts? They will remove them but they can’t deny they didn’t see them.

I’ve found 10 articles up to now taken from whitegoodshelp dryerhelp and washerhelp. I suspect he used them in the early days to get things going. I’ve sent an email.

The names are made up by whoever owns the site, I saw a few posts on there and they were posts from P45, myself and martin that had new user names attached.
I did not see a single post where he has left the original username on it.
