I suppose they say “if you don’t ask, you don’t get”.

Just had a bloke on the phone saying he had been recommended to me re washer repairs.
I asked him what model he had and he said Indesit….and Hotpoint…..and Beko…and.

Turns out he has decided to set up a small enterprise in his garage buying then reselling washing machines. He wanted me to go along and fix them whilst allowing him to look over my shoulder so that he could then learn how to do it himself. 😛

Ha so what’s in it for you in that deal?.

I would say I am happy to go there and show him how to do it but I would want 50 pounds per fixed appliance or 25 pounds if B.E.R

It seems that the low life are trying to work a fast one here in Calderdale. Phone call yesterday- would I like to buy 15 washers for refurbishing £15 each. Nothing much wrong with them just had their mains leads cut off so he said.
These are insurance write-offs out of the floods around here, he has probably just picked them up outside houses ,stuck a hosepipe on them to make them look clean then try to sell them. They’ve been full of sewage etc so beware. Could be some of these that have arrived over the hill in your neck of the woods Jim.
