ParticipantWhy are these Door Boot prices in Shop@ so cheap?
For example:
1603006 Door Boot £9.95 ……Hotpoint price £17.86+VAT
1603291 Door Boot £12.95……Hotpoint price £19.14+VAT
1240167427 Door Boot £14.95..Zanussi price £20 plus
354135 Door Boot £19.95….Bosch price £21.62Very competitive pricing that’s for sure but I suggest they be raised somewhat to fall in line with manufacturers own sales pricing?
It puts more money in the pot for UKW but more importantly will fall into line with the retail prices we in the field charge our customers. Many of us out here base our prices on the manufacturers after all.
I for example sell a 1603006 for £18.00 and when my customer (she found me via Google/UKW – but not Repairs@) quotes “UK Whitegoods sell them for £9.95” then I find it rather embarrassing to justify my prices as a result. 😕
Please at least meet me halfway on this and give a thought for others like me out here in a similar position. No way can I afford to retail that door boot for £9.95 and in this case I reached a compromise by charging just £15 for it in the end. 👿

I was changing a lot of the prices anyway 😉
I’ll check out some other spares sites for a guide, those prices (apart from the Bosch) are old and were based on my CES retail sales prices.
The other thing to bear in mind is the T&C for the shop which states “manufacturers names and part numbers are used for identification purposes only” or something like that 😉
Oddly enough we hardly sell any either 😕

Espares are a bunch of total rip-off merchants by the way 😆

KeymasterAn affair based in Docklands who get, shall we say, a few returns as it seems that they haven’t a clue what they’re doing at times.

I was using them as a comparison Martin, as between their own site and all the other one’s they sit behind they sell more appliance spares to the public than anyone else.
Comet, Co-Op, Argos, Homebase to name but a few, have a look at this little lot:
http://www.espares.co.uk/sistersites.aspx 😯
All are basically espares with a different “shirt” on 😉
