My mrs have decided that she needs a new hob and oven.
At present we have a bog standard AEG hob which recently developed a fault: the ignition doesn’t work on two burners.

The oven is el cheapo Candy which is sort of working but it takes a looooong time before it is heating up and grill have stopped working the other day.

One constraint – the appliances have to be either white or cream to match the kitchen.

So I selected the following for her:

    Hob: Bosch PCP612B90E (gas)
    Oven: Bosch HBA13B120B (single, electric)

Do you think this is a good choice?

I can probably stretch my budget by going to the following:
    Hob: Bosch PPP612M91E
    Oven: Bosch HBG53R520B

However, is there any compelling reason for doing this (aestetics aside)?

    Thank you!

    Hi

Bosch is always a good choice 😉 whether you need to go all the way with the upper models only you can decide if you want / need the extra functionality.

Bosch site here allows you to compare a few models at a time, you can also do the same with the hobs a swell.

    HTH 🙂

    Thank you!
I was wondering if these models are “real” Bosch or a rebranded Balay. I guess the only way to find this out is to look at the “made in …” label, right?

Balay was dropped from the UK core range some years ago 😉

Bosch produce products all over Europe in their own factories. The Loggixx range tends to be made in Germany the rest around the EU.

    Didn’t know that 🙂
The Logixx is too expensive and got lots of features my Mrs won’t be using, so I am more inclined towards Exxcel or even Classixx (why they so obsessed with double-x these days? :))
