I have a bit of an ongoing problem with a CI555WH.

Has anyone managed to successfully access the test/fault codes on one of these.

I have followed the instructions on pages 15 & 16 of the manual but everytime I hold the S/P/C button and switch on all that happens is the ready light comes on and stays on, no flashing lights. Tried it umpteen times and even fitted a different PCB but still could not get the damned thing into ‘Functional Test Program’or into ‘Failure Code Test Mode’.

All I know is that entering the test mode ‘UKwhitegoods fault book’ way is written totally different to the ‘original paper’ version I had in the original handout.

I think the original handout worked but the fault book way didn’t.

I know I eventually did get it into test mode.

Strange, just had a read of the UKWG’s fault code book and it appears to be exactly the same as on pages 15/16 of the manual. 😕

First time I have ever tried to enter test programs.

To be truthful the method of entering the Failure Code Test Mode on page 15 of the manual (page 46 on fault code guide ) is not very clear. It says press the first auxiliary button from the left.

Is the S/P/C button an auxiliary button ?
Do you have the main On/Off switched selected or not ?

I tried pressing both the S/P/C button and the next one along for six seconds with the on/Off switch in both positions but got no response.

EDIT. Just ploughed through all of the PDF’s and other files I have on the PC and have come across another version which stipulates having the main control set to 12 o’clock, that is not in the manual or the fault code bible.

I knew I was on the right tracks.

The paper version I used was in a ISE folder which contained leaflets, tech info, wiring diagram and parts breakdown.

I’m sure this was given to me when I sold the first machine, along with the selection of spares.
