    Hello,

I had a F:43 fault on my machine, the code indicated the brushes. I checked them and they were worn down to less than 10mm. They have been replaced but I can’t get rid of the fault code so I can try machine out. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks

First I would check that they have been fitted correct as they can be a pain if you dont take off the motor. if not check the wires connected to the motor terminal.

    Hi Simon,

I’ve just double checked to make sure the motor plug is connected fully to the motor, I did remove the motor to replace the brushes. I just can’t reset the fault code to try the machine.

    Thanks

    You could try this. 😉

Set selector switch to the 6 o’clock position , hold the spin speed button , turn the selector switch one click clockwise and after a couple of seconds release the spin speed button. It may still show F21, switch off and switch back on and it should clear, may need a few attempts. 🙁

    Hi all,

I’ve just turned dial to 6 o’clock held temp minus button for 2 secs then turned dial to seven o’clock and released temp minus button.
The result was an engineers menu. Scrolling through this with the options up / down button gave a motor inactive option, the start button was flashing so I pressed it…The motor spins at set speed and performs a self test. You have to stop motor using start button.
I turned dial to 12 o’clock waited a couple of minutes and switched on, the fault code was gone.
Thanks to all for help and suggestions.

    Paul
