Clicking Noise

Hi,

Two problems that are probably related to each other. When I switch on the ice maker on our Side by Side Whirlpool S25B RSS31 a clicking noise can be heard. It appears to be coming from the back. Once I switch it off the noise use to stop, but now we hear it intermittently. The strange thing though, if I open the fridge or freezer door the clicking stops.

The same noise can be heard once I use the water dispenser. It’s as if there is not enough pressure.

Any help would be appreciated.

Very common problem..The main PCB,You may need to change both the front and rear board,please supply the model and full serial and service number.

Sorry for the delay, I thought I would get an email alert when someone posted a reply:

The info I could gleam from the fridge is as follows:

Model: S25B RSS31 A/G

Service: 8586 166 15012

There is also a number to the far right, but I can’t read the title: 11 0350 005487

I hope this helps, thanks for the assistance.

Should I be overly concerned about the noise? Is it likely to catch fire, or stop working?
