Coca cola fridge thermostat

The local butty man has a tall coca cola fridge in his caravan for the cans of coke which i suspect the thermostat has gone on. The setup is evaporator in between the cabinet rear and rear panel with a circulation fan mounted at top with defrost tube at base of fridge. What would be the correct stat for this? Capillary tube is on evaporator. Would a K59 with long capillary work?

Unfortunately it was the compressor.

pup.. an air stat is a thermostat that registers the temprature of the air rather than the evaperator temprature.

simon.. i’ll have a look and let you know as i only use them on american appliances now.
