I have a Jura F90 ‘bean to cup’ machine and the touchscreen is playing up. Some areas are no longer touch sensitive and it has started to pour coffee randomly.

The touchscreen is a solid perspex display nothing like a phone screen or microwave touchpad.

Does anyone know if there is a way of repairing these touchscreen or is it going to be an expensive replacement?

Apparently this is a common problem with this machine.

I found a bit of information on cleaning a capacitive touch screen which involved using window cleaner on a bit of toilet paper to clean the surface.

For the sake of £200 I had nothing to lose so gave it a try.
So Mr Muscle window cleaner, a good clean then dry and so far so good.
As an appliance that is used in kitchen users hands are going to leave deposits on the surface and this I guess could cause problems.

I’m just keeping my fingers crossed and money in the bank for now.
