Some coins got into the drum of our Candy Alise 1200ES washer dryer.

There is a noise when the drum is turned, and there have also been intermittent draining problems.

I’ve detached the sump hose and found 4 coins in it and also a clothing care label caught up in the pump, which is enough to explain the draining problem. There is still a noise when the drum is turned by hand, which seems highly likely to be another coin.

I’ve tried tipping the machine on it’s back/front/sides to try and get the coin to move to the drain hole but no joy. I’ve also taken off the drier outlet which gives access to the back of the drum, but no joy there either.

Any other ideas? How difficult is it to open the outer tank on this machine? At the moment I’m just inclined to put the machine back together and trust the final coin will eventually get to the sump and won’t cause any damage on the way, does this seem reasonable? (Outer tank is stainless steel.)

Supplementary question, there was a small amount of sealant where the drain hose attaches to the tank, will ordinary silicon do for this?

Remove the drum to clear the obstruction. Use Debor glue to reseal the sump hose.
