ParticipantWell here is a brilliant money-spinning product on the market you may well come across when things go wrong. Its called “Colour Catcher” and you may ‘catch’ one or two yourself ❓ 😀
I have had 2 (seperate) calls recently to clear blocked sump hose/pump chambers of what appears to be a small hankie?
In fact they are paper towels that can be added by the customer to a wash programme to absorb the likelyhood of the dye coming off ‘non colourfast’ clothing 😕 The trouble is they tend to ‘float’ on the water surface and down between drum and door seal very nicely and into the pump 😆
Here’s what they look like : –

Lets all send an email to this company thanking them very much and asking them if their product development dept can come up with similar ideas to help out all the poor undernourished service engineers who are trying earn a crust.
Andy 🙂

KeymasterJust brilliant, you gotta love them and don’t tell them or they’d only try to charge us a “management fee” like everyone else does! 😆

From Mrs Spidermonkey- hey! I love colour catchers!! I use them every wash and the trick is to put them in a netbag like you used to get with wash tabs – I know this because mr spidermonkey was very cross when I lost some colour catchers in his favourite wma – but its colourcatchers or pink pants as far as I’m concerned – anyway I shouldn’t be reading this website i should be doing the laundry.

have had a few of these myself you would think their maketing department and research and dev would have picked up this problem but no
on the other hand it gives us more silly calls to do as we are getting less simple common faults these days the days of the blocked logic and 95 pressure chambers are no more or at least rareDave
