    Hello,

I’m hoping sopmeone can help me out. I’m not sure where else to go, short of contacting a lawyer. I sell a few fridge/freezers out of my shop and am in the following situation; there is a new requirement that limits how a fridge behaves with fast freezing functions. I was told that these particular products would not meet the new regulation, but that because they had been manufactured before the enforcement date (1 July 2013), it would be fine. Is this true?

I thought the important date would be when you are bringing these products into the market? These fridge freezers are being imported by the way.

The link for the regulation can be found below. Any help that anyone could provide would really be much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Tim

The link you gave doesn’t work. But I would have thought that as long as the imported fridges have to EC approved badge on them they should be perfectly legal to sell in this country*….?

    * that being the UK I mean as right now I’m in the USA 😉
