ParticipantHi,
We’ve had the above products for over 10 years and are out of warranty. Our tumble dryer has stopped working and have an engineer coming out to take a look. But in the meantime I’d like to see if anyone can recommend a replacement. Our requirements are:
Tumble Dryer
Ideally a heat pump tumble dryer(economical as we have a big family) with a external drainage pipe (not sure on the technical terms for these and the guy in curry is unaware of any that do this)
5-10yr warrantyWashing Machine
Ideally no rubber seal (ISE seem to have the only one) if anyone else does this
5-10yr warrantyDo ASKO sell any products in the uk as a google search doesn’t help?
They seem to be big in America and AUSI hope the above makes some sense and really appreciate any help.
Many thanks

ModeratorThere was all sorts of takeovers etc concerning Asko. They are now owned by Gorenje which is a Slovenian company. For more info on availability I would ring Gorenje direct.

ParticipantMany thanks for you comments and the review on head pumps is great. Do you know of any other washing machines that don’t have a rubber seal?

ModeratorOnly ever seen them on Asko/ISE machines TBH.

ParticipantThere’s an eBay seller seemingly in Italy offering Asko machines with a £90 delivery charge to the UK, eg https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EP-11329173-Washing-machine-Standard-W2086C-W-Classic-8-Kg-Class-A-Centrifuge-1/273630707533
Is this worth the risk? Does anyone know what the warranty position would be?

ModeratorAt £998.69 + £90.27 delivery, is it worth the risk…seriously what do you think. 😉
And they only only have the one.

KeymasterThe warranty position would be… you don’t have one.
