Are they skint or something ? 😀
It should be called “complete rip-off” 😆
Is this just a letter telling you about it or a demo disk ?
Dave.

Maybe not Dave, but there is a parograph that says ” we very much wish to persuade our partners to use this system so as we can increase the volume of repairs we pass to you.”
is that blackmail or what!
oh and you can pay monthly, or rather they will “deduct £50 per month from our payment to you” ❗

So if you buy the disk and it the software crashes after a couple of months do they give you £250 back as a 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} BER rate 😈

Well, I can’t say I would have any confidence in it to be honest, they can’t even complete the web site properly, half the links are dead 🙄
And yes John, they would probably try that as well 😆

after reading the bumf they sent with it, if it does what they claim it is exactly what we (well I anyway) have been looking for. ie designed for one service desk, up to 5 engineers, van stock, shop stock and as far as I can tell it doesnt run on Access for a change.

Why are agents having to pay for it, surely if this delivers more work through a work providers door, then the management fee should pay for this . Simple.
To ask/expect/compel the agent to chip in £500.00 is wrong imo, I bet all the Baumatic engineers are not paying for its use!

There’s not enough information on there to evaluate the software IMO.
With any product of that nature there’s always a cost involed and really there’s no way around that but without adoption by more than GBDAR and Baumatic for whom not a lot of people work work for, it’s really not that exciting either if you ask me. The idea is sound enough though but I’d suspect that, like most of these things, that it’s adapted from something else.
There is a mention made there of “Fixzone” and I assume that will be a paid-for bolt on application as well for what purpose I’m not sure.
Some more info would be nice.
Oh and we are still working on a software package, more on that at Sibson. 😉

Fixzone, is the name of the company flogging it.
Despite Daves comments, I feel the cost is reasonable, assuming it works as it says, and, they generaly seem to interested in the small outfits.February 6, 2005 at 6:54 pm #125120BobHope

Well the bit of info i recieved it is definetly worth a look at. Just the ticket if it does what it says on the tin, as for cost i agree Eastlmark its about right considering the cost of windows, office, sage, and quite a few more. no one likes spending money on a package that only does half the job. so lets be positive, surely the company who produced the package have a demo available, if not then its back to my pen and paper.
will give them a call on Monday if i find the time during working hours.Bob.
